Privacy policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

MotoCore (“we”, “us”) is a UK-based project building MotoCore One, an in-car touchscreen head unit. This site is a pre-launch site: its only purpose is to describe the product and let you register interest on the waitlist. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

We do not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers or social-media pixels on this site, and we do not set tracking cookies.

How we use your email

Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights” below).

What we don't do

AI features at product launch

MotoCore One includes AI features powered by Anthropic Claude (for example Ask MotoCore and AI datalog review). These are product features, not website features: when the product launches, vehicle data is sent to Anthropic only when you explicitly request an AI feature. Nothing is streamed continuously, and nothing about your website visit is sent to Anthropic today. A full product privacy notice will accompany the device at launch.

Retention

We keep your waitlist entry until you ask us to remove it, or until the waitlist is closed after launch, whichever comes first.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us at any time to export the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. The simplest way is to reply to your waitlist confirmation email, and we'll act on the request promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and note the new date at the top. Significant changes affecting waitlist members will be announced by email.
