MotoCore One reads your engine over a WiFi OBD2 (ELM327) adapter. That's a third-party part, and it's not included in the box. It works with any WiFi ELM327 adapter, or you can add our tested one at launch.

Will it work with my car?
MotoCore One works with any OBD2 / EOBD car: petrol from 2001 and diesel from 2004 in the UK and EU, and 1996 onwards in the US. BMW E9x owners get enhanced engine profiles for the N52, N54, N55 and S65, with tailored gauge ranges and redlines. Every core feature works on the generic OBD2 profile.
What are AI credits?
Credits meter the cloud AI features (AI datalog review and Ask MotoCore) by how much you use them, so a quick question costs less than a full session analysis. Every tier comes with a monthly credit allowance, and you can buy top-up packs if you run out. Everything on the device itself works without credits: gauges, logging, navigation, dashcam and performance timing all run locally.
Do I need an OBD adapter?
Yes. MotoCore One reads your engine over a WiFi OBD2 (ELM327) adapter, which is a third-party part and not included in the box. It works with any WiFi ELM327 adapter, or you can add our tested adapter as an accessory at launch.
Is my data private?
Your telemetry stays on the device by default. Logging, sessions and clips live on MotoCore One itself. When you use a cloud AI feature, only the data you choose to send gets processed, via Anthropic Claude, to produce your answer. You can ask us to export or delete your cloud data at any time.
