MotoCore One sits on your dash and plugs into the OBD2 port every car's had since the early 2000s. It runs the lot on the unit itself: gauges, sat nav, dashcam, lap timing. It only bothers Claude when you actually ask it something.

What is MotoCore One?
MotoCore One is a 4.3" touchscreen head unit for the car: a digital cockpit that replaces a dashcam, a sat nav and a performance meter in one unit, with an on-board AI mechanic. It fits any OBD2 car and runs its gauges, navigation, dashcam and lap timing on the device itself.
What cars does it work with?
Any OBD2 or EOBD car: petrol from 2001 and diesel from 2004 in the UK and EU, and 1996 onwards in the US. BMW E9x owners get enhanced profiles for the N52, N54, N55 and S65. It reads your engine through a third-party WiFi OBD2 (ELM327) adapter, which is not included in the box.
Can MotoCore One read and clear fault codes?
Yes. Reading and clearing fault codes (DTCs) is coming to MotoCore One before the public release: it pulls the stored code behind a warning light, explains it in plain English, and resets the light once you have fixed the cause. Alongside that it reads live engine data, things like rpm, speed, temperatures and throttle, to drive its gauges and its AI.
Does it need the internet to work?
No. Gauges, logging, offline UK navigation, the dashcam and performance timing all run on the unit without a connection. Only the cloud AI features, Ask MotoCore and datalog review powered by Anthropic Claude, need WiFi, and they use credits.
How much does it cost, and can I buy one yet?
Hardware starts at £349, with the GPS Module from £49 and the Camera Module from £69 (indicative, confirmed at launch). MotoCore One is pre-launch, so orders are not open yet. You can join the waitlist for one email the day they do.
