The base unit is complete on its own: gauges, logging, timers, the AI suite and the web app all run without a single add-on. Batteries included, and this time literally.
4.3" IPS touchscreen
An 800×480 capacitive touch panel, sized for the dash: big enough to read at a glance, small enough to mount where you actually want it.
Quad-core compute + GPU
Enough silicon to render the 3D cockpit, run navigation and log the engine at once, and the whole interface is GPU-rendered on the unit itself.
Battery backup, included
A UPS battery is part of the base unit, not an option, so logging and clip exports survive ignition-off, and the unit always shuts down gracefully.
Microphone + speaker built in
Voice is core, not an accessory. Turn instructions, alerts and answers from the AI mechanic are spoken aloud, and the Co-Pilot hears you without touching your phone.
WiFi hotspot + web app
The unit broadcasts its own hotspot and serves a full web app: dashboards, history, clips and settings from any phone or laptop browser. No app store, no account.
Ambient light sensor
The unit reads cabin light and switches between day and night themes on its own, with brightness tracking to match, so it never dazzles after dusk.
Ignition off is not the end of the drive.
Most car electronics die the moment you turn the key. MotoCore One carries its own battery, so the work in flight, whether a session closing or a reel exporting, finishes properly every time.
- Graceful shutdown, always. The log closes cleanly and storage is protected by a voltage cut-off.
- Exports keep running. A highlight reel started on the way home finishes on the driveway.
- Low-power mode. Dims the screen and slows the frame rate automatically when charge runs down.
The second screen is whatever's in your pocket.
Join the unit's hotspot and open a browser. That's the whole setup, and no cable to lose down the side of the seat, where all cables eventually go to live. The web app streams the same live data the panel shows and edits the same settings.
- Live gauges in the browser. Streamed over a socket, not polled.
- Full control. Gauge layouts, themes, engine profile and logging, all editable remotely.
- History and clips. Sessions, WOT reports and the clip gallery, served straight off the unit.

Adds vision: the telemetry-HUD dashcam, automatic track-mode pull recording, on-device clip replay and highlight-reel export.
OBD adapter: bring your own
The unit talks to the car through a WiFi OBD2 (ELM327) adapter, and any of the common third-party units work. A tested adapter is available as an accessory at launch; it is never in the box.
If it has the port, it gets the cockpit.

What comes in the box?
The MotoCore One base unit: a 4.3" touchscreen with a battery backup, a built-in microphone and speaker, and WiFi with an on-device web app. The GPS and Camera modules are optional add-ons, and a WiFi OBD2 (ELM327) adapter is required and not included.
Do I need an OBD2 adapter?
Yes. MotoCore One reads your engine over a WiFi OBD2 (ELM327) adapter, a third-party part that is not in the box. It works with any WiFi ELM327 adapter, or you can add our tested one as an accessory at launch.
Does it keep working when I switch the car off?
Yes. The built-in battery backup keeps logging and clips running through ignition-off and lets the unit shut down cleanly instead of losing data mid-write.
What do the GPS and Camera modules add?
The GPS Module (from £49) adds offline UK navigation, GPS telemetry and drive scores. The Camera Module (from £69) adds the dashcam with its live telemetry HUD, track-mode clips and highlight reels. Both are optional and clip onto the base unit.
Which cars is it compatible with?
Any OBD2 or EOBD car: petrol from 2001 and diesel from 2004 in the UK and EU, and 1996 onwards in the US. BMW E9x owners get enhanced engine profiles for the N52, N54, N55 and S65.
